Hey Artists!
We are now looking for folks to try their hand at layout and doing awesome stuff with hand lettering, photographs, custom illustrations for the magazine. If you are interested in gaining experience in working with an art magazine, you are looking to have your work published and are comfortable working with some creative direction then you are the one for us!
Our distribution ranges from San Francisco art stores and galleries to copies circulating in Germany, New Zealand, England and Mexico. The exposure is excellent, plus we always credit and promote artists who collaborate with us. It’s also good advertisement and awesome addition to your professional portfolio.
If you are interested — send your artwork, websites, links to flickr and any other materials with a short description of your work to paulina@aortamagazine.com ( I am her- the designer/creative director for the project.) Please include ‘art/design/layout submission’ in the title field. Please do not send huge files, small web optimized graphics or links are the best.
